Each of these unique cigar boxes is wooden and varies in size, depending on availability. They bear their original distinctive 'cigar' origin markings and come from such places as Nicaragua, Honduras & the Dominican Republic. Use these little boxes for treasures of all kinds from wine corks, golf balls, tees or markers and golf gloves to jewelry, shells or stones collected on an outing, collector cards, game pieces, stamps, or coins.
The print on the top of the box can be mounted two different ways: as a durable woven material with a rich satin finish that is weather resistant and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or as a padded top, made of Satin Cloth (much like upholstery), which is affixed atop the lid for a soft and luxurious look and feel; something different for a special person.
Specific sizes cannot be ordered - I will pick the size that is best for the print you select. Examples of sizes are 7" w x 7 1/2" l x 2 1/2 h, 7" w x 10" l x 1 1/2" h, 6 1/2" w x 6 3/4" l x 4 3/4" h, 9 3/4" w x 9 1/2" l x 2 1/4 h. I try to match the dimensions of the image so that it goes with the dimensions of the box; using more horizontal scenes on a longer box and likewise, using a square box for an image that is more square. The boxes range in hue from lighter wood tones to reddish tones: from light to dark and also black. I can also stain the outside if you have a specific request but I leave the inside natural.
Some boxes have hinges; some do not. The inside is bare wood. Many are one of a kind.
Please feel free to contact me for specific sizes or staining hues. If you place an order without specifics I will use my best judgment to match the painting image to the best size and color for that image. There will be extra charges for other requests.
